Regulatory reform
Policymakers around the world have come under enormous pressure to eliminate the conditions that led to the financial crisis. Consequently, many of the world’s regulatory frameworks are now being re-examined for possible changes, some of which may be sweeping and fundamental.
Zurich supports constructive regulatory reform wherever public welfare can be enhanced. We are equally concerned about measures that would force our customers to pay more for insurance. Since before the crisis and throughout 2009, we have been offering our perspective on regulation and the role of insurance to policymakers and the public at large in order to achieve these ends.
To see some of those perspectives, including research performed specifically to address post-crisis regulatory reform, please visit www.zurich.com/insight.
