Airport

For directions to Zurich Airport, please call reception at extension 111.
They can arrange for a taxi or inform you about public transportation.

Baggage service

The Zurich Development Center does not provide porter service.

Beverages

Beverages, including soft drinks, beer and wine, are available 24 hours in the lounges in Buildings A and B or from the minibar in the guest rooms. In Building F, beverages are available in the designated service zones. There are also refreshments in the Fitness Center. Wine and beer are served with dinner in the Restaurant in Building A. No hard liquor is available on the premises.

Bowling

A two-lane bowling alley is available to guests.
For information and reservations, please call reception at extension 111.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served during weekdays from 6.30 to 9.00 a.m.
During the weekend breakfast is served from 7.00 to 10.00 a.m.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant in Building A.
Room service is not provided.

Check-in / check-out

In general, guests are encouraged to check-out by 8.30 a.m. to allow for incoming guests. Your workshop leader will inform you of your required check-out time on the evening prior to your departure. Guests arriving at the Zurich Development Center may check-in at reception at anytime

Cheques

No personal cheques are accepted.

Confidentiality of personal data

In order to ensure confidentiality of data stored on your personal computer we recommend that you do not leave your computer unattended if possible.
If you must leave your computer unattended in your absence, please either log off and shut down or lock it. Be sure to take your diskettes or CD-ROMs.

Please retrieve documents immediately from the printer and photocopier.

Be careful discussing confidential or sensitive information, whether in person or while talking on the phone, during breaks or in public areas such as restrooms, lounge areas, restaurants or the Wellness Center.

Credit Cards

The Zurich Development Center accepts the following credit cards: American Express, Diners, Mastercard, Visa and Maestrocard.

Dining

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant in Building A at the following times:

Breakfast   6.30 a.m. to  9.00 a.m. during week days
               7.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. during the weekend
Lunch      11.30 a.m. to  2.00 p.m. (no alcohol is served at lunch)
Dinner       7.00 p.m. to  9.00 p.m.

The lounges in Buildings A and B are open 24 hours.
Here is a selection of snacks and beverages available.
The lounges are self-service areas.

Dress Code

The dress code at the Zurich Development Center is business casual.

Electricity

Local voltage is 220 V. Adaptors and all necessary cables are available at the reception.

Emergency

In case of emergency, please contact the reception at extension 111.

Environment

Please help us in our effort to improve the environment. Recycle plastic cups in the containers provided, sort your refuse separately according to the labels on the recycling containers provided and reuse your towels when possible.

Please turn off all lights and electronic equipment when not in use.

Fax

The number for incoming faxes is +41 44 625 75 50 (reception).
Fax machines for outgoing faxes are located in the services zones in Building F.
An in-room personal fax machine is available upon request.
Call IT support at extension 57566.

Fire

Guest rooms and public areas are equipped with smoke detectors. In the unlikely event of fire, call reception immediately on extension 111.
Please take note of the map posted at the entrance of your room for escape routes.

Fitness & Wellness Center

The fitness area is open 24 hours.

Health and fitness checks and personal fitness consultation
(by appointment, for a fee).
Indoor and outdoor health and fitness coaching for individuals and groups
(on request for a fee).
For further information please contact the reception at extension 111.
Mountain bikes are also available for use and can be arranged through the reception.

Garage

The garage can be accessed with the keycard you receive upon check-in.

Housekeeping

Upon request we provide various pillows and light supper duvets for your comfort.
Please call the reception at extension 111 for more information.

Information

Information about scheduled events are available on the Info Walls located in Buildings A and F.

Internet

You can access the Internet using the multi-functional computer panel in your room, or with your personal computer or laptop through wall-mounted ISDN and modem outlets, free WiFi zone.

Interplay room

Visit the Interplay Room in Building B for Internet access.

Ironing

For safety reasons, there are no irons in the guest rooms.
Irons can be picked up at reception and should be returned after usage.
An ironing-board is placed in the closet of your room.

ISDN

Guest rooms are equipped with an ISDN wall outlet and an analogue modem wall outlet, located behind the desk.

For IT support, please call extension 57566 or the reception at extension 111
for more information.

Keycard

You will receive a keycard on check-in that allows you access to your room and some of the public areas as well as the Fitness & Wellness Center.
You can also use your keycard to enter the garage with your car.
Please do not forget to return your keycard to the reception when you check-out.
For any unreturned keycard we will charge you CHF 50.-- to your account.

Labs

The Labs are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and mobile furniture for flexible set-up. Meals are not available in the labs.

Laundry service

Laundry service is available for an additional fee from Monday to Friday.
Saturday and Sunday on request.
For pick-up service please call the reception at extension 111 until 9.00 a.m.
A laundry bag and a laundry form are placed in the closet.
The laundry will be picked-up and will be delivered to your room within 24 hours.
Dry cleaning will be returned within 2 working days.

Library

The Library, located in Building B, offers newspapers, magazines and business literature. The Library is open 24 hours.
Visit the Library to relax and read in a quiet atmosphere.

Lost & Found

Our reception will provide assistance in tracing lost articles.

Medical Emergency

In case of a medical emergency, dial extension 111.

Please see operating instructions in guest rooms.

Modem cable

Guest rooms are equipped with ISDN wall outlets and an analog wall outlet located above the desk surface.

Neighbors and neighborhood

See surroundings.

Please respect the right to silence from 10.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m.

Newspapers/ magazines

Newspapers and magazines are available in the reception area, in the Lounge in Building A and the Library in Building B.
There is a limited selection of newspapers available in the Fitness Center.

Parking

Parking spaces are available in the underground garage.
The garage can be accessed using the keycard you receive upon check-in.

Park

Relax in the outdoor park areas of the Zurich Development Center.

Photocopiers

Photocopiers are located in Building F on levels 008 and 108 next to the service areas. A color copier is available in Building F on level 108.

Porter Service

Luggage transport trolleys are available on request.
There is no porter service available.

Radio

Radio is available in each guest room using the multifunctional computer panel on the wall.
An overview of radio channels you will find at the end of this brochure.

Reception

For information on all guest services or for questions, please contact reception on extension 111 or 57590.
The reception is available 24 hours.

Restaurant

The restaurant is located in Building A. For service hours, see Dining.

Safe

A personal safe for the storage of valuables is available in each guest room. Operating instructions are found next to the safe.

Sanaria (65°C)

The sanaria are open from 
 4.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. Monday to Friday
11.00 a.m. to  9.00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Security

All guest rooms and public areas are equipped with smoke detectors and are secured by a sophisticated electronic key system.
The premises are patrolled regularly by security staff.

Smoking policy

The Zurich Development Center is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited in the guest rooms and all public areas.
The lounges in Building A and B are the only designated smoking areas.

Surroundings

Since the Zurich Development Center is situated in a residential area, we ask you to kindly respect the neighbor's privacy and need for silence.
"Official" times of noise control are fom 10.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m.

Taxi

To arrange for taxis, please contact reception at extension 111.

Technical Support

Technical support is available for Zurich Development Center guests.
For questions or technical support service, please call IT Support at extension 57566.

Television

Television is available in each guest room.
An overview of TV channels you will find at the end of the brochure Guest Services in your guest room.

Terrace

There are outdoor terraces located in Buildings A, B and on level F. 
Please respect the neighbors' right to silence after 10.00 p.m.
when using the terraces.

Transportation

For information about transportation to/from the Zurich Airport or to/from the main station, to arrange for a taxi or for information about other public transportation, please call the reception at extension 111.

Wake-up calls

Guests can arrange for wake-up call by using the wall-mounted multi-functional computer panel in the guest rooms, by telephone, or by calling reception at extension 111.

Wellness Center

The Wellness Center at the Zurich Development Center is available for all guests.
The Wellness Center includes fitness equipment, 2 sanaria, a steam bath, 2 solaria, a whirlpool and soft drinks.
Towels and bathrobes are provided for your convenience.

Massages and personal health check services are available on request for an additional fee.

The fitness area is open 24 hours.

A keycard is required to enter the Fitness & Wellness Center.
The Wellness area is opern from 
 4.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m Monday to Friday
11.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Mountain bikes are also available and can be arranged through the reception.
For further outdoor activities please inquire at the Wellness Center on extension 57568.

Wireless LAN (free WiFi zone)

Free Wireless LAN is accessible in all lab rooms, all guest rooms and public areas.
