Inga Beale

Inga Beale (born 1963, British Citizen) is a member of the Group Management Board of Zurich Financial Services Ltd (Zurich) and Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Head of Organizational Transformation and iCON. In her position she oversees the Group's General Insurance Global Underwriting function, as well as the Group's operational improvement program The Zurich Way and its Internal Consulting function. She joined Zurich in January 2008.

Inga Beale started her professional career with the Prudential Assurance Company in London as an underwriter specializing in international reinsurance. In 1992 she joined GE Insurance Solutions, formerly Employers Re, assuming a number of managerial roles. In 2001, she was promoted to Global Underwriting Leader for GE Insurance Solutions at the global headquarters in Kansas City, USA. In 2003, she relocated to Paris, taking responsibility for the Property & Casualty reinsurance business throughout Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In October 2004, Inga Beale was appointed President and Chairman of the Board of Management of GE Frankona Rückversicherungs-AG, based in Munich, Germany. In February 2006, she took up her role as CEO of Converium. Converium, as an international multi-reinsurer, was acquired by the French Company SCOR in 2007.

Inga Beale is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Inga Beale attended Newbury College, where she gained qualifications in Business Studies, majoring Economics, Mathematics and Accountancy.
