Peter Goerke

Group Head of Human Resources

Peter Goerke (born 1962, Swiss Citizen) is a member of the Group Management Board of Zurich Financial Services Ltd (Zurich) and Group Head of Human Resources. He joined Zurich in October 2005.

Peter Goerke started his career in 1989 with Abegglen Management Consultants in Zurich where he held various positions until 1996 and was finally elected to partner. From 1991 to 1992 he was Head of Sales EMEA with Berna Biotech in Berne. Between 1997 and 2000 he held the position of Engagement Manager of McKinsey & Company in Zurich and Chicago. Before joining Zurich, Peter Goerke worked for five years with Egon Zehnder International in Zurich and was Global Head of its Insurance Practice.

Peter Goerke graduated from the University of St. Gallen with a Master degree in organisation. In addition, he is a graduate of the Wharton School Advanced Management Program.
