Richard P. Kearns

Chief Administrative Officer

Richard P. Kearns (born 1950, US Citizen) is a member of the Group Management Board of Zurich Financial Services Ltd (Zurich) and Chief Administrative Officer. He joined Zurich on September 1, 2002.

Mr. Kearns joined Price Waterhouse in New York in 1972 and was admitted to the partnership in 1984. He held various management positions, including that of Vice Chairman and was a member of the Management Committee of the Price Water-house US firm from 1990 to 1997. He was responsible for Human Resources and partner matters prior to the firm's merger with Coopers & Lybrand. From 1998 he served as the Global Partner Affairs Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Kearns served two terms, from 1998 to 2003, on the board of directors of the 350,000 member American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a board member of the Children's Medical Research Foundation and a Trustee of St. Bonaventure University.

Mr. Kearns holds a B.B.A. in accounting from the St. Bonaventure University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
