• Born in Johannesburg; speaks English, Afrikaans and Dutch; enjoys bird-watching, watching sport, reading.
• Graduated from the Witwatersrand Technikon with a Diploma in Architecture. Changed to Information Technology in 1987; studied part time and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Unisa in 1995; recently concentrated on the business side of IT and obtained a diploma in Business Analysis, changing career focus from technical to business; has worked mainly in the insurance industry previously at Sentraboer and Fedgen as well as Zurich Contracting on and off since 1989.
• Since joining Zurich on a permanent basis in 2004: has worked as Senior Analyst Programmer and Senior Business Analyst.
• Significant projects: involved in a broad range of projects, including the initial implementation and upgrade of I90 and the recent implementation of the SAP Finance system.
