Dr. Alexander Protsenko

What is your background?
- I was born in Ukraine and grew up in Africa and Russia. I speak Russian, German, English, French and Ukrainian.
- I studied Economics from 1994-1999 and earned my PhD in International Economics in 2003, both at the University of Munich.
- While at university I established and ran a company for health products, which operated in Germany, Russia and several other Central European countries. I worked as analyst at the Institute for Central European Studies in Munich, and as a project manager for McKinsey & Company in many Western and Eastern European countries, and in Central Asia.
- I joined Zurich in 2009 as a Principal Manager, and have worked since then on different strategic initiatives.
