What is your background?
- I have a Masters in Management Studies and I am also a qualified secondary school teacher.
- I have worked with NatWest Bank in the UK and NatWest Offshore in Jersey in a variety of roles as part of their National Graduate Programme.
- I joined Zurich in 2003 in the Learning & Development team in Zurich International Solutions on the Isle of Man.
- I have recently moved to South West England and joined the Zurich UK Talent Team.
- My passion outside of work is painting and drawing, and I am often commissioned to do portraits. I also enjoy keeping fit.
Why did you choose Zurich?
I think Zurich offers the opportunity for a diverse and exciting international career. It cares for and believes in the potential of its people and demonstrates this through Talent Management, Learning and Development and investment in developing a constructive working culture. These are things that I believe make Zurich different from other big companies.
Why have you stayed with Zurich?
I love the people here and feel that my values fit with the Zurich culture. I am passionate about Talent Management - a topic that is 'up there' with Zurich's top priorities - and my role here enables me to do what I enjoy whilst helping the company meet its goals.
From a personal perspective, I feel that my career aspirations can be fulfilled at Zurich. In a relatively short time, my career has really taken off. I am lucky enough to have been promoted several times and I have had the opportunity to travel to many different countries. I have been encouraged and supported all along the way.
