Why did you choose Zurich?
I decided to join Zurich as a pricing actuary because this enabled me to use my background in applied mathematics and work closely with the business and the decisions made there. I was also attracted by the international profile of Zurich's Global Corporate division and all the interesting challenges faced there.
Why have you stayed with Zurich?
Since my first day, my learning curve has been very steep, and I have enjoyed working with and learning from interesting and knowledgeable people. I have always found challenges to take on and been given many opportunities that were too good to turn down. Because I have always been encouraged to speak my mind by both colleagues and managers, I can definitely testify to Zurich being a very open-minded company.
If I were interviewing you…
…I'd look for a willingness to listen to and learn from your colleagues, but without hesitating to challenge them.
