What is your background?
- I come from the aviation sphere where I worked as an Air Traffic Controller.
- My university degree is in computing.
- I joined Zurich as IT Manager at Zurich London and then became Head of Operational Risk Asia Pacific, Group IT Risk and CIO for New China Life, Beijing China.
- I am now a Local Account Executive with IT Life Switzerland.
Why did you choose Zurich?
I love working for a global company and enjoy all the variety and challenges that this brings. The fact that Zurich is such a fast-moving and dynamic company engaged in so many large global initiatives keeps life interesting and exposes me to many new ideas, projects and cultures.
Why have you stayed with Zurich?
In the eight years that I have been with Zurich I have had the opportunity to change roles, live and work in four different countries and manage staff in many more. Such variety requires constant learning and adaptation. This certainly keeps life interesting and allows you to learn and grow from the different relationships you make along the way and gives me the inspiration, passion and energy I need to continue my work. I cannot think of any company that could have given me the opportunities that Zurich has.

…I'd look for passion and energy above all else. Working for Zurich, you will get the experience and skills needed to succeed. But to make the most of the Zurich environment, you should have a basic drive, focus and adaptability.
