What is your background?
- I am qualified to MSc level, am now studying for my fellowship in the IPD and also in the final stages of earning my Diploma in Insurance through the Chartered Insurance Institute.
- I was invited to join the Chamber of Commerce on the Isle of Man in recognition of my experience and leading role in one of the key organisations in the Finance Sector on the Island. This allows me to maintain Zurich as a key influencer in local policy on the island.
- I am a qualified general gymnastics coach, which is my key passion. I work with my three daughters who compete at national level in Britain.
Why did you choose Zurich?
I joined Zurich in February 1988, and through the 20 years I have worked here, I have had fantastic opportunities to gain experience in Client Services, Projects and HR.
Working for such an international company has allowed me the chance to travel to the Middle East, Asia and Europe. It has also provided me with secondment opportunities in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Zurich Switzerland, all of which have widened my experience of different cultures around the world.
Why have you stayed with Zurich?
To see young talent develop around me and take up increased challenges and more senior roles is personally very satisfying and one of the many benefits of working in HR.
My personal life is very important to me. I'm married with three young girls, and Zurich has supported me for many years in achieving my career aspirations as well as balancing my important role as a wife and mother.
