What is your background?
- I was born in Romania. I speak German, English, French and Spanish.
- I graduated from Paderborn University with a Masters in mathematics and later added an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland.
- I began my career as a Risk Analyst at Westdeutsche Landesbank in Düsseldorf and moved on to KPMG as a manager and senior manager in the Financial Risk Management team in Munich. I later joined the largest German online broker Dab Bank as Head of Accounting, Risk Controlling and Regulatory Reporting.
- I joined Zurich in 2006 as Head of Change Management in the Finance department. In 2008, I became Head of Capital Management and Risk Based Capital.
- I enjoy a wide range of sports such as badminton, swimming and skiing as well as travelling, theatre and opera.
Why did you choose Zurich?
I was attracted by Zurich because of the truly international environment, the opportunities only a leading global company can offer. I find a challenging set of tasks in Change Management, which are suited to my enthusiasm to help the company become as adaptable to change as possible.
