Zurich Financial Services Group New Head of Corporate Development

Zurich, November 12, 1998. - Gunnar Stokholm (1949), President and CEO of Zurich Denmark, will become the new head of Corporate Development of Zurich Financial Services at the Group Head Office in Switzerland and will join the Enlarged Group Executive Board at the same time. He will assume his new function in January 1999. Gunnar Stokholm will succeed Daniel Villiger, who has decided to leave Zurich and pursue business interests outside the Group.

Gunnar Stokholm joined the Zurich Group in 1995 as President and CEO of Zurich Denmark. He previously worked for Topdanmark, one of the leading Danish financial services groups. In 1987 he became a member of the Executive Board at Topdanmark with responsibility for the local insurance organization.
