Zurich Financial Services: Shareholders of Allied Zurich approve unification of Group structure

London, June 20, 2000. - In London today, the shareholders of Allied Zurich p.l.c. approved by a large majority the planned unification of the Group structure, as recommended by the Board.

Following the approval by Zurich Allied shareholders on May 25, 2000 and subject to the necessary regulatory approvals and other conditions, Zurich Financial Services expects that the unification will become effective before the end of the year.
