Investment exposure to Enron of approximately USD 100 million
Zurich, December 7, 2001. - Zurich Financial Services confirms that its exposure to Enron is primarily concentrated on the investment portfolio where it amounts to approximately USD 100 million: about 90% of these investments are bonds, the remaining 10% are equities. As for Zurich's exposure under existing insurance contracts, current indications show that it is minimal (up to USD 10 million). The Group has made this statement earlier this week and added that the required provisions will be reflected in the 2001 results.
