Appointments Doris Larmann and Pierre Guigui

Zurich, October 24, 2002 - Zurich Financial Services has appointed Doris Larmann as Chief Communications Officer and Pierre N. Guigui as Head of Investor Relations.

Before joining Zurich, Doris Larmann was Vice President for Corporate Affairs at Siemens Information and Communication Networks, the company's largest business group. She will be responsible for designing and implementing a global group communications strategy.

Pierre Guigui joins Zurich from Citigroup where he served most recently in New York as a director in the Global Insurance and Investments Industry. He succeeds Pierre Wauthier, who has assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer of Farmers Group, Inc. in Los Angeles, a Zurich Group company.
