Zurich Financial Services appoints Global Head of Group Reinsurance

Zurich, March 24, 2003 - Zurich Financial Services (Zurich) has appointed Thomas Hürlimann, (39), Global Head of Group Reinsurance effective March 15, 2003. He is responsible for the global management, development and implementation of Zurich's Reinsurance Policy and Strategy. Thomas Hürlimann succeeds Robert Stevenson, who, after four years in Switzerland, has returned to the UK to take up the position of Director of Reinsurance of Zurich's United Kingdom, Ireland and Southern Africa (UKISA) region.

Prior to joining Zurich, Thomas Hürlimann held senior positions in Swiss Re and brings to Zurich his broad range of expertise in reinsurance and corporate finance. Born and educated in Switzerland, he holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Zurich, and a MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
