Antoine Baronnet appointed Head of Private Banking Clients Solutions for Zurich’s Global Life Insurance

Zurich, June 30, 2008 – Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) announces the appointment of Antoine Baronnet (48, citizen of France) to the position of Head of Private Banking Clients Solutions for Zurich’s Global Life Insurance, effective July 1, 2008. In this newly created role, Mr. Baronnet will be accountable for optimizing and implementing the strategy to deliver excellent financial solutions for private banking clients. This segment offers Zurich a huge potential to serve private banking clients who currently have less than 1 percent of invested assets in insurance-related products. Mr. Baronnet will be evaluating Zurich’s opportunities to offer wrapped investment portfolios with flexibility to meet highly affluent customer needs. He will report to Mario Greco, CEO Global Life Insurance, and will be located in Zurich, Switzerland.

Mr. Baronnet joins Zurich from ABN AMRO, Luxembourg, where he has been Global Head of Fiduciary Products since 2000, and Managing Director, ABN AMRO Life, since 1996. Previously, he was with Athena Assurances Group, from 1985 to 1995, in a variety of management positions, culminating in his last post as Managing Director EWA Life, in Luxembourg. Mr. Baronnet holds an MA in Finance and Control from ESSEC IMD Business School in Paris.
