Zurich launches Funding Program for Insurance and Risk Management Research Center

Zurich / Beijing, April 30, 2008 – Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) announced that it has donated USD 3.5 million to the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, Beijing, to establish the Research Center for Insurance and Risk Management. This funding program is the largest Zurich has been involved in China and is its latest initiative in close collaboration with China’s academic institutions to support the growth of research capabilities and industry knowledge in the Chinese insurance sector. The donation will be used towards advancing the activities of the Research Center and endowing a perpetual chair professorship within the department.
