Industry Insight – Climate Change

Zurich, October 3, 2008 – Zurich Financial Services Group’s (Zurich) latest issue of Industry Insight, its online consumer magazine, focuses on climate change. Climate change is high on Zurich’s agenda. In January 2008, Zurich launched a global initiative focused on understanding the risks associated with climate change and the development of products and services that allow customers to cope with these risks.

This issue of Industry Insight looks at various aspects of climate change. Articles include a feature describing how insurers can use earth observation data to better prepare for and respond to climate events, and for many other applications that would have both private and public benefits. There is also a quick guide on how to make businesses carbon neutral, insights into green buildings and a review of ways to make driving more environmentally friendly.
