Karin Reiter appointed Group Corporate Responsibility Manager

Zurich, June 10, 2009 – Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) announces the appointment of Karin Reiter (30, German citizen) as Group Corporate Responsibility Manager, effective May 1, 2009. In this position, Ms. Reiter is responsible for consolidating and advancing Zurich’s Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy and activities. A key focus of her work is on managing the Group’s Z Zurich Foundation and its partnerships with globally active Non-Profit-Organizations (NPOs) to address social and environmental challenges that are linked with Zurich’s business activities.

Ms. Reiter joined Zurich in 2004 and formerly held different positions within Zurich International Life’s (ZIL) Legal & Compliance department, lastly as Legal Counsel and responsible for the compliance function of ZIL’s international group protection unit. Holding a masters degree in law from the University of Zurich, Ms. Reiter is currently pursuing advanced studies in CR at the University of Geneva.
