Depositors' compensation scheme

Banks are regulated under the Banking Act 1998 of the Isle of Man and there’s a deposit compensation scheme.  If a bank fails, investors may be compensated for personal deposits up to an amount of GBP50,000 or currency equivalent.

Deposits made with Zurich Bank International Limited are covered by the Depositors' Compensation Scheme contained in the Banking Business (Compensation of Depositors) Regulations 1991.
