Zurich Reward Account

The Zurich Reward Account offer the ability to save in Sterling, Euro or US Dollars with interest rate guarantees and easy access to your deposit.

Sterling Rate Guarantee

  • To be at least 0.25% above the Bank of England Base Rate until 1 January 2010.
  • Interest rate then guaranteed to be no more than 0.25% below the Bank of England Base Rate until 1 January 2011.
  • Interest will be paid gross**/AER*** annually on 30 June

Euro Rate Guarantee

  • To be at least 0.25% above the European Central Bank Base Rate until 1 January 2010.
  • Interest rate then guaranteed to be no more than 0.25% below the European Central Bank Base Rate until 1 January 2011.
  • Interest will be paid gross**/AER*** annually on 30 June.

US Dollar Rate Guarantee

  • To be at least 0.25% above the US Federal Reserve Rate until 1 January 2010.
  • Interest rate then guaranteed to be no more than 0.25% below the US Federal Reserve Rate until 1 January 2011.
  • Interest will be paid gross**/AER*** annually on 30 June.

Withdrawals

Money can only be transferred to a nominated account in the same name as your Zurich Reward Account. No notice required. Same day withdrawals if requested in the same currency as your account. Two day call required for withdrawals in other currencies.

Charges

10 free BACS (3 day) transactions per year. £2 thereafter. If CHAPS (same day) transactions are required there will be a charge of £25.

Payments in Euros and US Dollars charged at the equivalent of £30. Payments in Sterling to a UK bank account will either be charged at Euro or US Dollar equivalent £25 for same day transfer (CHAPS) or free by 3 day transfer (BACS).

* If your balance falls below this amount we will apply our standard rate of interest. ** Unless you fall within the provisions of the European Union Savings Tax Directive (EUSD). For more information on the EUSD please read the full terms and conditions of the account. ***AER means the Annual Equivalent Rate which is a notional rate illustrating the contractual rate as if paid and compounded on an annual basis.
