We value and celebrate this diversity.

“All of our D&I activity is focused on creating a great place to work. A fair, diverse, and inclusive workplace where we drive innovation and new ideas. Where we can attract and retain people who are focused on sustainability and innovation. Where we better reflect the diversity of our customer base and the world, we are part of. After nearly 150 years in business, we want to be here for another 150 or more. I encourage you to learn more about us. And find out why at Zurich, together, we can do extraordinary things.“

Our global approach to D&I
Our global D&I team has four responsibilities:
Strategy & Procedures
Constant advancement of D&I Policies and procedures to incorporate diversity considerations, including implementing legal and political developments to further shape the D&I agenda globally.
An example of this is our global approach to ensuring equal pay for equivalent work, backed up with an externally audited assessment tool.
Measuring & Reporting
Establishing diversity metrics, reporting & accountabilities. This includes benchmarks and internal aspirations to ensure improvement. Taking part in certifications and awards, as well as providing transparency to D&I facts & figures.
Communication & Collaboration
Ensuring we have a clearly defined communication & engagement strategy for our employees & external stakeholders including customers.
Collaborating globally through our D&I Community of Practice to scale and shape initiatives. Strengthen the collaboration with global and local ERGs and the Z Zurich Foundation.
An example of this work is our global ally programme, launched in 2019. This guide advises local Zurich LGBT+ allies on how they can set up a successful ally programme.
Training & Consulting
Taking responsibility at all job levels to ensure recruitment, training, development & promotion of diverse talent and skills - by supporting business units, managers and employees.
An example of this work is our global approach to agile working – Flexwork@Zurich – which has been adopted in many of our operations.
