The Zurich Classic of New Orleans

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans has been a PGA TOUR event for more than 65 years and Zurich is proud to be the Title Sponsor of the tournament since 2005. Past champions include some of the past and current greats such as Tom Watson, Seve Ballesteros, Davis Love III, Bubba Watson, Zurich Ambassadors Billy Horschel (2013) and Justin Rose (2015).

In 2017, the PGA TOUR and Zurich Classic introduced the new team format, bringing one of the strongest fields on the TOUR and in the history of the tournament. The professionals were allowed to select their own teammate to take on TPC Louisiana and the Foursome and Fourball format. Jonas Blixt and Cameron Smith beat out Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown in a multiple hole playoff to take the first ever Zurich Classic Team Championship trophy and belts. In 2018, we are introducing the first official PGA TOUR Team Pro-Am where guests are able to play with both teammates for their entire rough. That new addition combined with new and returning teams, is certain to move the event another notch above.

The Zurich Classic is also a distinct experience offering fun and charitable activities, which are fundamental in supporting the Fore!Kids Foundation and the ongoing renewal of the greater New Orleans community. Since 2005, Zurich’s combined charity efforts have raised more than $18 million providing healthcare, education and recreation for more than 200,000 children in need.

New Orleans and Fore!Kids Foundation

We are proud of our longstanding relationship with the City of New Orleans and the Fore!Kids Foundation and look forward to continuing the great work for years to come. Since 1958, the Fore!Kids Foundation has raised money to fund children’s service organizations through golf events, with the largest generator being the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Zurich is supporting tournaments in several countries in Europe, North America and Latin America. In addition, we are engaged in the sport at a local level around the world through small sponsorships, golf outings and hospitality programs.
