Doppo drives innovation in the Spanish motor market with a new fully digital insurance solution
A new online motor insurance platform puts customers in the driver’s seat and provides an exceptionally simple and intuitive experience.
Car owners in Spain now have access to an innovative digital insurance platform. doppo allows car owners to personalize their car insurance, tailor their coverage and services to fit their needs, and manage their policies online.
Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) launched doppo as Spain’s first completely digital car insurance offering empowering customers to take control of their motor coverage needs from start to finish. On the platform, customers can configure their insurance by selecting only what they need, purchase coverage and receive documentation in a secure digital format.
“We have created a digital and mobile platform aimed at an urban public looking for a new and convenient experience,” said Dave Stoll, CEO of Zurich Servicios Directo España, the subsidiary that manages the doppo proposition. The launch highlights how Zurich is responding to evolving customer needs, using technology to meet their expectations with compelling services and products.
Among doppo’s unique features is a new concept that allows customers to tailor their coverage and only insure a vehicle for a self-determined percentage of its value. It includes such innovative features as remote video inspections of a vehicle through use of a mobile phone .
The platform’s customer-empowering business model is unique in the Spanish insurance market, said Jordi Calbet, Digital Acceleration Director at Zurich Insurance Mobile Solutions. “It shows our Group’s commitment to Spain and the future of insurance,” he said.
Zurich is piloting doppo in Spain with the possibility to expand it to other countries.
