Our continuous engagement

In an interdependent, fast-moving world, organizations are increasingly confronted by risks that are complex in nature and global in consequence. The World Economic Forum’s annual Global Risks Report provides leaders from the private and public sectors with an independent platform to map, monitor and mitigate global risks. It analyses the perceived impact and likelihood of prevalent global risks over a ten-year time horizon.

Annual Meeting

The annual meeting in Davos is an important component of Zurich’s continuing year-round engagement with the World Economic Forum as a strategic partner. It is an opportunity to engage with multiple stakeholder groups through a range of initiatives and inspiring debates around key topics such as global risks and how they may be managed. 

As a Strategic Partner, we actively support and participate in several global, regional and national summits organized by the World Economic Forum throughout the world and the year. 2017 events include:

As a strategic partner, we support the World Economic Forum’s objective to provide an impartial and trusted space for top-level, public-private collaboration to advance the agenda on the world’s most pressing global public good challenges, and in particular, include the following three initiatives:

The World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Councils study the foremost topics in the global arena. Each Council is comprised of 15-20 members, and serves as an advisory board to the Forum and other interested parties, such as governments and international organizations.  We are currently engaged in one council:
