Transparency, flexibility and simplicity: Zurich’s International Programs business goes digital

Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) is digitalizing its International Programs business using state-of-the-art technology to streamline stakeholder interaction globally. The transformation of the Group’s International Programs workflows will significantly enhance the customer and broker experience and allow for a more efficient, seamless and sustainable collaboration.

The digital exchange of data between Zurich, International Programs customers and brokers will make policy details and relevant risk insights available in a timely manner. This includes structuring and managing insurance programs, binding and renewing policies, managing claims and checking existing trade and economic sanctions as well as other legislative and regulatory data.

Depending on where a customer stands in their digitalization journey, Zurich will connect with them based on their needs either through its customer and broker portal My Zurich or via an application programming interface (API) to a company-specific risk management system. This digitalization will help enhance the overall risk management experience and eliminate administrative burdens for policyholders and brokers.

“Recent events such as the global pandemic, the crisis in Ukraine, supply chain-related issues and the ever-present risks of climate change are strong reminders of how complex and challenging the global risk landscape is. Today, businesses and risk managers need to be able to navigate multiple risks at the same time,” said Marcel Weiss, Global Head of International Programs.

Vinicio Cellerini, Global Head of Customer and Distribution Management, added: “We have listened to our customers who want access to relevant data in an easy and seamless manner. In this highly complex and evolving environment it is more important than ever that businesses have reliable, up-to-date policy and risk data available at their fingertips. Digitalizing Zurich’s International Programs business will help our customers to better prevent, mitigate and manage adverse, disruptive events.”

Zurich has been a leader in structuring and delivering global insurance solutions to multinational customers for more than 40 years. The Group’s extensive expertise, global reach and broad network of broker relationships and third-party providers enables the Group to support its customers wherever they operate. Technology is playing a critical role in advancing Zurich’s customer-focused strategy and providing customers with a differentiated offering.
