Skills and experience
Sierra Signorelli brings extensive property and casualty insurance experience, having held senior leadership roles across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. She has served as CEO U.S. since January 2026. From March 2021 to August 2026, she served as CEO Commercial Insurance and became a member of the Executive Committee in March 2021. Previously, she served as Zurich’s Group Chief Underwriting Officer beginning in October 2020, after joining Zurich in 2017 as Chief Underwriting Officer for Commercial Insurance. Before joining Zurich, she spent 17 years with American International Group, where she held several senior leadership roles in the insurer’s Global Specialties division, including global chief underwriting officer for specialty lines, specialty executive for Asia Pacific, and global head of Network Partner Practice.

Ms. Signorelli is a member of the board of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), the Illinois Business and Economic Development Corporation and the St. John’s University School of Risk Management. She is also a member of the CEO Leadership Council of Global Business Alliance Inc.
Educational background
Ms. Signorelli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University School of Business.
