Zurich’s global employee benefits business advances customer-centric digital solutions with API connectivity

Zurich Global Employee Benefits Solutions (ZGEBS) is strengthening its commitment to customer-focused innovation through enhanced digital reporting and connectivity. By collaborating closely with customers, ZGEBS continues to develop tailored solutions that improve efficiency and transparency.

API connectivity

The API (Application Programming Interface) was launched in March 2025 as a result of a co-creation journey between ZGEBS and Siemens. This joint solution streamlines the secure sharing of quarterly financials, claims data, and balance/invoice confirmations, enabling both organizations to bring their ecosystems together. With modular scalability, Siemens can access individual services, such as claims or financial data, independently, ensuring a personalized experience tailored to their needs. Data updates are aligned with the reporting cycle and occur quarterly. The API, powered by cutting-edge technology, ensures strict compliance with Zurich’s security, privacy, and reliability standards. Future expansions are planned to include additional requested data points.

This customer driven solution exemplifies Zurich's ambition to evolve its digital capabilities, providing unparalleled support to customers in a fast-paced and data-driven world.

ZGEBS remains dedicated to partnering with its Captive customers and consultants on similar digital projects, customized to meet specific needs, enhance value delivery, and drive business success.

ZGEBS is a business unit of Zurich Insurance Company Ltd and part of Zurich Integrated Benefits, which brings together various Zurich businesses to provide global expertise in employee benefits.

Digital transformation is not just about technology - it’s about mindset, process evolution, and effective collaboration. Our partnership with ZGEBS led to the successful implementation of an automated API-driven data exchange system. This advancement significantly streamlined our workflows and elevated operational efficiency. Looking ahead, we aim to expand this framework to include underwriting data. This will enable a more holistic approach to employee benefits captive management – enabling sharper risk management, strategic oversight, and a fully digitalized continuum of data-driven decision-making.
