Using our proprietary AI large language model ZuriChat, Zurich Engage and Microsoft Copilot, specialized bots and many other tools, our people can connect, collaborate, engage in problem-solving across businesses, and share knowledge.

Promoting future leaders in Switzerland

To support its technology strategy and strengthen leadership in digital skills, Zurich Switzerland launched Fit for Future Leadership – a program designed for or all employees to build awareness, future skills, and a passion for lifelong learning.  The program encompasses practical learning, co-creation, and taking responsibility to find solutions. It includes peer coaching, hackathons and promptathons, which are intense challenges where participants must generate their own AI-driven solutions.

As part of the program, about 100 Zurich Switzerland employees participated in the 2025 Hackathon. Using AI and creative problem-solving, 21 teams of Zurich Switzerland employees took on 12 real business challenges. Based on the results of one of the challenges, Zurich Switzerland changed its approach to car damage claims, using AI to support decision-making to prioritize repairs, instead of replacing parts.

Developing next-gen digital leaders

Zurich’s global Digital Leaders program is building the next generation of Technology & Operations leaders by combining strategic insights, emerging technology and hands-on development in a comprehensive nine-month tailored program.

The 2024 cohort completed eight modules covering AI, cyber, cloud, leading through data, and change leadership, supported by senior mentors, monthly cohort sessions and external speakers.

76 percent of them have moved into new roles, with many citing stronger networks, increased self-confidence, and a broader strategic perspective as outcomes of the program.

One said, “I’m more confident in applying what I have learned and challenging the status-quo,” while another stated, “It gave me a clear view of the tech challenges that we have.” The 2025 cohort launched with a deeper focus on AI and digital transformation, reflecting Zurich’s commitment to delivering smarter, faster, and outcomes with greater impact.
